Storyline
Theodore is a lonely man in the final stages of his divorce. When he's not working as a letter writer, his down time is spent playing video games and occasionally hanging out with friends. He decides to purchase the new OS1, which is advertised as the world's first artificially intelligent operating system, "It's not just an operating system, it's a consciousness," the ad states. Theodore quickly finds himself drawn in with Samantha, the voice behind his OS1. As they start spending time together they grow closer and closer and eventually find themselves in love. Having fallen in love with his OS, Theodore finds himself dealing with feelings of both great joy and doubt. As an OS, Samantha has powerful intelligence that she uses to help Theodore in ways others hadn't, but how does she help him deal with his inner conflict of being in love with an OS?

condors369, thanks so much for all your excellent work. I notice you've recently changed from using .mkv video and AC3 audio to .mp4 video and AAC audio. What's the reason for this? Does mp4/AAC give better quality?

@davecdau Its debatable, but, AAC compressed at same bitrate as AC3 from DTS audio is much better in quality. However, AC3 is widely compatible. I don't know about MP4 vs MKV though. Would like to see condors write about it.

I have just spent ages to register to post a comment on here. I have always downloaded your torrents as it has the best picture and audio quality at a reasonable size, now that you have started switching to AAC audio I am very disappointed as it's way poorer in quality as people keep stating on the yify torrents. Please, please, please, switch back to AC3 5.1 audio or as another member has said at least include it as a second audio ...... this is my humble request and I hope you accept it.

hoteloscar: No. It's the bitrate that matters. Properly encoded 5.1 AAC should be higher-quality than 5.1 AC3. Properly encoded...
One problem with 5.1 AAC is that many media boxes (like WDTV, Boxee Box) do not seem to process 5.1 AAC correctly, and only pass through 2.0 audio to AV receivers. Test for yourself, it will be obvious (like missing LFC /bass). For now, I convert all 5.1 AAC to 5.1 AC3 (Aften is great), which I don't mind much but...
Some other problems (as tpbswrnkr hints at) is that many groups seem to encode to 5.1 AC3 first, then again to 5.1 AAC after. Sometimes at ridiculously low bitrates (under 300 Kbps). This usually produces audio with very low high-frequency cutoffs, amongst other problems. They should encode the Blu-ray's audio straight to 5.1 AAC at a decent bitrate (300-500 Kbps) to reap AAC's benefits.
Also: The MKV container is fucking amazing (as is MKVToolnix). No decent hardware /software will have problems with this glorious container that handles virtually every file type, plus embedded subtitles, chapters, sandwiches and more.

Can you not go back to AC-3 DD 5.1 audio again, the quality is much better than AAC. If not, can you at least decode one in AC-3 DD 5.1 audio also, so people can choose if they want to use AAC or AC3. Thank!
