Great release as always! Just a quick question. Should I delete the baseline iso of windows 8.1 or will you start making exes again in order to update?
so this is pre-activated? I got frustrated because upgrading from 8.0 created all kinds of problems and wanted to do a fresh install, which is impossible with my OEM version I got off of Newegg due to the fact that MS has discontinued using the Window8-setup.exe methong. Otherwise, I wouldn't be seeking pirated copies (with pre-activation :p )
Murphy, can I use this iso for isntalling Windows 8.1 with Bootcamp? Is it smooth and error-free?
@nononot sorry I usually don't read comments on each torrent past the first day or two. You can export the esd to a wim using a trick. First you capture an empty directory using dism/imagex, then you delete the index, and export the install.esd to that empty wim file. For some reason it just works... abbodi1406 has a script for that on the MDL forum if you don't know how to do that.
@sneak3 I'm sorry man I don't know. I really don't use any non-msil software, so there shouldn't be any activation compatibility problem, but since the install media uses install.esd instead of install.wim, it uses the hardware differently to extract the information. You'd have to test it for yourself.
@murphy thanks very much for commenting.
Finally could you tell me the difference between your iso and this guys? http://piratebayproxy.live/torrent/10031084/Windows_8.1_Update_1_Pro_X64_PreActivated_Final
