Hi! We're 'The Game Kitchen', developers of The Last Door Collector's Edition.
We strongly believe that access to digital media should be granted to all pockets and budgets, and personally we are big fans of the possibilities of p2p sharing. Specially we're fans of TPB for what it means for people who have no other way to access content that are either forbidden by their countries, or inaccessible due to economical reasons. In summary, we're honored to be present in this growing community, specially through the hands of a reputed uploader as Mr.Stifmeister! We actually own TPB a lot since they were kind enough to feature us in The Promo Bay once, which led to thousand of players getting to know the game.
On the other hand, we're a very small (and lets face it, very humble) indie studio, who depends on game sales and donations to be able to make games. We don't make games for the money, but we need to eat and pay bills as everyone else, and particularly we need money to be able to developing new episodes of The Last Door.
In this regard, we'd like to kindly suggest that if you DL the game and liked it, consider either buying a copy, or participate in the crowdfunding of an incoming episode. Please, visit our site to learn more about how we fund and make the game: http://thelastdoor.com
thank you.

@thegamekitchen
That was very well put & I appreciate you stating that you don't make games for the money, as you said...you have bills & need to eat...
I also appreciate the fact that you pointed out that there are many people who may be able to afford to pay for internet service, they may not be able to afford buying a game at this time.
Said person may be a single parent, disabled, out of work, even just on minimum wage or a combination of all of the above.
I can not speak for everyone but it's my person belief that those who share digital files... (I refuse to call it piracy, to me the only difference between sharing a physical copy & sharing a digital copy is the amount of copies are being shared)...do not want to take "food from your mouth" so to speak or take,take,take,take just to have. I could be wrong but I think that 95% of everyone who shares digital files will also buy the game/rent the movie/go to the movie/buy the album etc etc etc.
I have even heard that the installers made by certain people have a disclaimer that comes up before the game even starts to install...
"IF YOU LIKE THE GAME, BUY IT"
Thank you for all your hard work & I wish you & your peers wealth beyond your wildest dreams.

@wontquit: when you said "i could be wrong"... you were right.
@thegamekitchen Following you since you started developing The Last Door thanks to a friend and seeing your post in here made up my mind. As soon as I get some cash you can count on my purchase. Not everyday you see a developer dropping by and supporting these kind of actions.
why is this less than 1/4 the size of the other Last Door Collector's Edition torrent.
does this one not contain the sound track or something?
