fyi texas in july is not Christian they pretended to be to get popular then switched labels & dropped the act.
Jclark481, sad when that happens, isn't it? The truth of the matter is it's probably easier to get started in Christian Music, than it is in the Secular Market. We see it all the time. Someone releases a non-secular album, or maybe two, then they jump on over for the bigger payday.

It'll be tough for me to remember when downloading future albums. I tend to recognize a group name, and then go from there. But I'll try to keep "Texas In July" in mind. Where do you think they switched? Here is what I currently have of theirs...

Texas In July - 2008 - Salt Of The Earth
Texas In July - 2009 - I Am
Texas In July - 2010 - Uncivilized
Texas In July - 2011 - One Reality
Texas In July - 2012 - Texas In July
Texas In July - 2013 - Reflections
Texas In July - 2014 - Broken Soul - Single
Many Thanks TT. I have been waiting for Mali Music's album.

God Bless you!!!
Chuksemeka, I wasn't sure what genre to identify Mali Music as. Rap? Soul? R&B? Something else? He really is blessed with a lot of layers of talent. :)
Thanks TT!
Switchfoot was NEVER Christian. Yet fools like you continue to label them as such.

Charlie Peacock's idie label Re:think Records was bought out by Christian giant Sparrow Records before Switchfoot's first release, and thus the band's, and Peacock's, intentions of being marketed outside of the Contemporary Christian music scene and reaching a wider audience were put on hold. Consequently, the band was mostly marketed to Christian radio and retail outlets early in their careers, a time Jon Foreman has described as when "half of who we were was lost."

Apart from their recent idiocy that you were whining about in your diatribe, where they said there's no such thing as Christian music, they have also said in the past that they are not a Christian band. Yet ignorant individuals keep labeling them as Christian. Undiscerning idiots who have never picked up their Bible and read it; it has enough dust on it for them to write "Damnation" across it.
If you are anything as you portray yourself to be, then I truly feel sorry for you. I bet you would be hard pressed to find very many supporters of your misplaced ideology here. And your defense? We're all idiots, imposters of faith, we don't even know how to spell "God" much less follow Him, and somehow it's your calling to remind us of that every few bundles. Tragedy has no bigger fool than bibleman77.
@TT...Yeah he is a multi-talented artist.
He considers himself a gospel artist. However, he recently said this album is not gospel packed like his previous works.

He said he wants to do something different (secular). But after listening to the album, it doesn't sound anything close to secular. More like inspirational...
I like the way you all define these as Christian artist then you rip off their music. Ha Ha.
