$20 Per Gallon: How the Inevitable Rise in the Price of Gasoline Will Change Our Lives for the Better by Christopher Steiner

July 15, 2009 | ISBN: 0446549541 | Pages: 235 | EPUB | 0.3 MB

Imagine an everyday world in which the price of gasoline (and oil) continues to go up, and up, and up. Think about the immediate impact that would have on our lives.

Of course, everybody already knows how about gasoline has affected our driving habits. People can't wait to junk their gas-guzzling SUVs for a new Prius. But there are more, not-so-obvious changes on the horizon that Chris Steiner tracks brilliantly in this provocative work.

Maybe it will improve the lives of those who live where everything is in walking distance, or where mass transportation is available. Everywhere else it will be a disaster, which of course, might be what the idiots who think this will be an improvement want. I will believe it better when I see Al Gore and others, give up their private planes, huge SUVs and other gas guzzlers and have to use the same transportation that they think is fit for the "masses".
Doesn't seem to work in either Caliber or Sumatra. Gives me a DRM message.

Just as well I suppose. Looks like this is a lot of left wing BS written by someone with a complete lack of knowledge of what happens when vital resources are taken away.
