Homosexuality in Greece and Rome: A Sourcebook of Basic Documents by Thomas K. Hubbard (Editor) The most important primary texts on homosexuality in ancient Greece and Rome are translated into modern, explicit English and collected together for the first time in this comprehensive sourcebook. Covering an extensive period—from the earliest Greek texts in the late seventh century b.c.e. to Greco-Roman texts of the third and fourth centuries c.e.—the volume includes well-known writings by Plato, Sappho, Aeschines, Catullus, and Juvenal, as well as less well known but highly relevant and intriguing texts such as graffiti, comic fragments, magical papyri, medical treatises, and selected artistic evidence. These fluently translated texts, together with Thomas K. Hubbard's valuable introductions, clearly show that there was in fact no more consensus about homosexuality in ancient Greece and Rome than there is today. The material is organized by period and by genre, allowing readers to consider chronological developments in both Greece and Rome. Individual texts each are presented with a short introduction contextualizing them by date and, where necessary, discussing their place within a larger work. Chapter introductions discuss questions of genre and the ideological significance of the texts, while Hubbard's general introduction to the volume addresses issues such as sexual orientation in antiquity, moral judgments, class and ideology, and lesbianism. With its broad, unexpurgated, and thoroughly informed presentation, this unique anthology gives an essential perspective on homosexuality in classical antiquity.

no matter how much queers talk about queerdom in ancient times, the fact remains that the abnormality affected a small minority of people and the vast majority of sturdy peasants were normal (heterosexual) leaving perversion to the idle upper classes.
What's your source or evidence for this?
read the ancient sources and see who are the ancient queers, to what classes they belong, also nowadays, in spite of queers being such a small minority the noise they make seems to show many more than they really are. Why can't they just accept themselves for what they are try to live as well as possible without pretending that what they are is normal or even enviable, something to be 'proud' of? Such distortions generate animosity from heteros who one day can get fed up and roll back all the recent queer conquests which would be sad.
@sakstroy
GYU or just find a nice guy whose willing to fuck you. That's what you need tyou pathetic closet case. Every time there's any upload about homosexuality, you're here with your self-loathing. It's the 21st fucking century, either get over it of stay in your fucking closet and rot in your misery.

I wonder why queers sometimes accuse people who challenge some of their beliefs and practices of being closet cases. Childish attitude to try to silence opinions. Every time I see queer torrents I write comments because it would be sad if some day due to extreme policies by the young queers, all queerdom will be pushed back into the closet and suicides among them would climb, something I wouldn't like.
I try to persuade queers to accept that they are not normal, their inclinations are abnormal, but they have a right nevertheless to be happy and respected as long as they are discreet not to offend the heteros. To put a stop to gay 'pride' parades and such or to silly statements like that homosexuality is common even in the animal world, etc., ignoring that if you put a bitch in heat near two 'queer' dogs, they turn hetero immediately and chase the bitch. Young queers will be the downfall of queerdom if allowed to keep on pushing things too far.
"I wonder why queers sometimes accuse people who challenge some of their beliefs and practices of being closet cases."
Because people who rail against same-sex sex often are caught having it. A 1996 study entitled "Is Homophobia Associated With Homosexual Arousal?" found that 80% of men who express homophobic views got erections to gay porn.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of such are closet queers, but it si also used by queers to try to deflect things they don't want to hear about them.
as per your website:
"Yes, homophobes have latent same-sex attractions as 80% of them showed sexual arousal to gay porn."
Well, in my case I've tried to watch gay porn out of curiosity and on those two occasions far form 'tumescence' I experienced true disgust, almost to the level of puking, then no more, I avoid such sex like the pest.
But after all, I'm not a homophobe, those hate queers and I feel sort of sorry for them and wish them well.
Poor little sakstroy, all alone and miserable in that closet of yours. You're so pathetic and sad. Every comment you make outs your pathetic little self.
If that's your reply to those who tell you uncomfortable truths, go ahead, it doesn't change who I am.
Yes, saktroy, you're still a closeted self-loathing pathetic loser. That obviously will NEVER change.
Careful, careful or your boyfriend will be mad at you for giving such poor idea of what queers are like.
