ty for the sbs! but will there be a h-ou? tnx heaps again!
Thanks loads for the SBS, I realize some people like OU better but I have active 3D and SBS is WAY better. Why.. to quote a site on the subject:
"With H-OU, each eye sees a maximum resolution of 1920×540. This usually ends up being more like 1920×400, with the other 140 vertical pixels being the black bars at the top and bottom of the video frame. This gives us a great, full horizontal resolution, but a very small vertical resolution. In fact, this vertical resolution is even lower than DVDs, which can use up to 576 vertical pixels (typically between 404-484 for a cinematic movie).
By contrast, with H-SBS, each eye sees a maximum resolution of 960×1080, which usually ends up being more like 960×800 after the black bars are taken into account. This gives us a much more even selection of detail.
Both methods give us the same amount of pixels in total – 1036800 pixels per frame – but H-OU makes it harder for a resizer to enlarge the image as accurately, since it’s making the height so tiny. H-SBS halves the bigger number, resulting in two decent sets of rows and columns (960 and 800) instead of one large set of columns (1920) but one tiny set of rows (400)."
This applies to ACTIVE only of course, for PASSIVE OU is indeed better.

@Some1SomeWhere
That is dead wrong bro science. Horizontal resolution is more important for the perception of 3D and sharpness so OU is always better.

Is this real 3D or one of those premature 2D to 3D converts?
@Some1SomeWhere... and anyone interested
I see your point, understand... Maybe try to see it this way... 3D Conversion into SBS or HOU in reality is a downgrade from the original source, correct ? This was attempted when TV Station try to send a signal to us in a 3D Format but the original was too big and as we all know TV programs are compressed to make sure they can also supply other channels...etc This is probably how SBS and HOU where born...
Nowadays HD TV are not the same and doesn't have the same- spread nor "Pixels" amount. Before it was more close to a square in old TV's (tube system) and at present time is more rectangular type, this is why we have 1920-left to right (only 80 pixels short to be 2K) and 1080 pixels top to bottom (80 pixels more than 1K) and this 80 plus and less is done to balance the image...
Now, to do SBS or HOU we need to squeeze the image and therefore lose some pixels, correct ?
SBS will lose Half of the amount they have and end with 960 (left to right) and keep top to bottom 1080, this is OK if we end using the full 1080p (p as progressive) and is older than HOU, what I mean it was very good for old TV (tube) systems. At the same time please add- most 3D Movies are "widescreen" format so by nature we already have those "black bars top and bottom that we don't look at it.
HOU is squeezed from top to bottom and just will lose half of the 1080 pixels- 560 only and yes we already lose half by nature in those "widescreen" Movies and end getting 400 pixels. This mean that most of us will think that a balanced image will became more pleased to look at it (true for old tube TV's). Instead to get the best image (HD TV's) is the more detailed and therefore it is the HOU one who keep the most and loosing only 400 pixels vs 960 pixels; in 3D world we need all those pixels for the depth and pop effect. Hope this help.

Every time a new 3D release comes out, this argument usually follows. Having watched both H-OU and SBS, I can say that they look EXACTLY the same. Quit whining about which format YOU want, and be thankful that people even put these torrents up.
Watched it last night and it looks perfect on Active 3D. It's in Imax format so not to much black bars either. Does anyone know if format SBS/OU is related to left eye first/right eye first setting in Power DVD? Seams I need to change this for every movie.
In regard Left/Right eye and HSBS/HOU it depends on the ripper they both have Left or Right eye first and yes it means most time we must 2ble check after the movie started.
To others... Don't get me wrong because it is YES at least I do appreciated all the effort anyone here does and we are the lucky one who can gain from it. Now that said, I do own both systems Active/Passive and at the end of the day if there's only HSBS (in reality it is HSBS and not SBS) I will get. The difference it is more noticeable with Passive or Big Active systems (TV- 65" Plus/ Projectors) and I do go there on the Plus side. This mean I do see the difference and also understand that it is a Lot easier to create the HSBS than HOU... Also all this explanation (as other are asking HOU and not for Passive systems only) it is more to help, to add some insightful data so we and everyone be able to obtain the best. Why the best ? as anyone can notice here we are lucky to be part off and get or obtain from really good rippers. It is not easy what they do and I believe they are really proud of their excellent accomplishments and will try to do the best and the better for us. At the end; Thank to anyone who try to supply us with all this great quality. Hats Off !!

I still don't understand why rippers choose HALF SBS as the most common format because there are 0 benefits to choosing H-SBS. H-SBS looks arguably the same on Active display as H-OU. However without argue it was proven Half-OU looks much much better and provides HIGHER RESOLUTION on passive displays than H-SBS. So logically and for the sake of this world HALF-OU should be the standard and most commonly used format! Rippers keep this in mind.
Hello, can I use the macbook air and connect it through HDMI and watch the movie 3D with the glasses (on a 3D TV)? Or the only way is to burn the movie on a bluray disc?
Bad aspect ratio on my samsung led f6400, it stretches the image to complete the screen, no way to have the 16:9 with 3D on... the same on all releases of sprinter 3D. If i turn 3D to 2D image then the aspect is normal 16:9 without stretching the image....
V:1
A:10
Bad aspect ratio with different sized black bars and real 3D mixed with crappy 2D to 3D home conversion.

Not familiar with Mac.. if does have the 3D Options then yes you may stream it and the 3D Glasses are or belong to your 3D TV...etc
AS image it is not wrong aspect nor converted... This movie is an IMAX Version so it will change aspects, this is done by Hollywood, if someone TV does stretch the image then probably is not the movie is the TV or Player- make sure you set TV/Player into "Real" or "Original" aspect and shall fix the issues, again do NOT use 16:9, Full Screen, Fill or Stretch Image... Again look into your TV Aspect Ratio, what is set into...

Good rip. Worked perfectly. To everyone saying this is a "crappy 2d-3d home conversion": WRONG!!! definitely real 3D. Perhaps you need a new tv?
Thanks Drarbg!
Thanks Drarbg!
You need a set of new eyes, faggot. It's real 3D mixed with fake 3D - end of story.
I'm confused, it says there is 275 seeders, 238 leechers, yet when i connect i see 0 of each
