=======

Blu-ray source is MPEG2, heavily pictureboxed (http://imgbox.com/LBVfdciL)
and suffers from plenty of age.

The feature encodes are restored (duplicate frames removed) where necessary.
One exception, His Bitter Pill 1916, has 2 floating dupe fps remaining in a couple of scenes.

All 28 audio commentaries are included.
List of commentaries :

Re. the extras :
'Outtakes..' is presented on the blu-ray with hard-encoded blends.
'A Drive..' has some random dupe pattern that fried my noggin.
Not much I could do, so they're encoded as they came.

I'm speechless, 50 encodes plus extras is a lot of work! I usually go with 1080p versions for silents but since these films didn't go through the same great restoration the Chaplins did (perhaps there weren't better elements available and/or the demand doesn't justify high-end restorations), I guess 720p is the way to go in this case.

A huge thanks for your unique dedication.
It was a fair bit of work, but a lot of pleasure as well. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I am doing. The historical relevance of these films is astounding, plus they're great fun to watch.

If the blu-ray wasn't so heavily pictureboxed the 1080s would have been my preferred choice, but I think these will have to suffice.

Thank you for your tip on the source ;)

Thanks for this and the work you do GCJM. If you ever get the chance, could you please do a rip of Betty.Boop.The.Essential.Collection.Vol.4. I know a lot of people who want it, especially me!
I'm waiting on a kind soul to drop the blu-ray online. When it does drop, I'll be all over it.
