Well look, the 4:3 uploads may not be ideal, but at least they're something. Much appreciation to that uploader for the backup.
As for the process, it takes 2-3 hours of computer time to cap and encode, with relatively minimal hands on time now I've found a process which works adequately. However streaming outlets (i.e. Hulu, CBS, ABC etc.) are always tightening things up, changing things, making it harder to access streams etc. outside of the U.S., so the status quo of efficiency rarely lasts. For now though, we're doing alright.

Also, seeing as you've got me talking, another issue is getting the stream quality to ramp up to HD levels through a proxy. The Letterman streams I'm able to capture aren't yet as good as they can be. There is one resolution and quality level up (for the stream) which I'm still unable to access. Working on it though. Peace.
