Topaz Texture Effects System Requirements

Topaz Texture Effects is a demanding application that may not work well on older or weaker systems.  Here are a few guidelines to ensure you can enjoy the application fully.

Operating System Requirements: 

Windows (32bit not supported):

- Windows 7 x64
- Windows 8 x64
- Windows 8.1 x64
- Windows 10 x64

Graphics Card Requirements:

- Support for OpenGL 3.2 or higher.
- At least 1GB of dedicated memory to open the application.  2GB or more is recommended for optimal performance.

Run the Installer:

- Windows Installer: Follow the prompts to install the application

The program will then install as a standalone application by default to:

Win: C:Program FilesTopaz LabsTopaz Texture Effects

IMMEDIATELY RUN THE APPLICATION AS A STANDALONE!  THIS IS A REQUIRED STEP TO CONFIGURE THE APPLICATION.  IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY PRESETS OR ASSETS IN THE APPLICATION WHEN USED AS A PLUG-IN!

Plugin Compatibility:

To use Topaz Texture Effects as a plugin, first run the standalone program via the directories listed above.  This is a one-time setup that require to use the software as a plugin.  If the plugin does not automatically configure when you run it the first time, click the link for your host editor below.

Texture Effects can then be accessed as a plugin via:

- Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC, CC 2014, CC 2015)
