A five-man unit of cops on night patrol get more than they bargain for when they arrive at a creepy backwater town in the middle of nowhere after a call comes over the radio for backup. I can't seem to adjust the subtitles for this movie. It takes up the entire screen in VLC and they don't work in any other media player. OP, do you have a separate subtitle file for english subs?

I have the same problem. It's an issue with iTunes. I have reported it to them, but it always takes a while before they take action on anything. If/when they fix the issue, I will re-up it. In the meanwhile, with various programs, you can extract the subs and correct them in a separate file to watch. That's what *I* should have done, and that was my mistake. Glad you could at least enjoy it partially otherwise.
