The night before the episode was set to air, Chris shot and killed country singer Wayne Mills after he, according to Chris, "violated the bar's nonsmoking rule and had threatened to kill him with a broken beer bottle." He claimed it was in self-defense, but he was arrested on charges of second-degree murder for 20 years with no parole. 

With this incident, Spike decided not to air the episode at all and instead air a rerun of "Hole in None." However, the "encore" airing for the episode was accidentally aired on the network three hours later. After that error, the episode was never aired again
