x265 is inefficient and otherwise offers negligible or otherwise unnoticed quality improvement to resolutions encoded below 4k.
Using it on 1k content is moot and serves to only fault various smart tvs, phones, tablets, and htpcs that otherwise could play the content flawlessly.

Anyone got x264 and the awareness to encode with it?
