How to combine avi's to one file easy and quick.

VirtualDub Release build -- 1.7.7 (stable), 32-bit version
http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

Start up VirtualDubMod, click "Video" at the top and
then click "Direct stream copy".

Now go ahead and click "File" at the top, then
"Open video file..." and select your first .avi
file you wish to join and then click the
"Open" button. (Click "NO" if it asks you
if you want to rewrite the header)


After it is loaded, click "File" at the top, then click
"Append segment" and select the 2nd avi file or the file
you want to join to. Repeat this step for each
avi file you wish to join.


After selecting all of the files you want to join,
go ahead and click "File" at the top, then click
"Save As..." and type a file name for the final
.avi you will produce. Then click "Save"
and wait for it to finish. Done!

Okay yes, I'm noob -whatever - that being said. I'm not computer illiterate.. just new to torrents and dvd burning.

Programs I'm using:
ConvertXDvd
Nero 7
Magic ISO
Winrar

Recurring problem:
[Some] torrents I download are in winrar. I do have winrar. When i d/l the file I get several files.. usually around 25 of them are winrar files.. the others aren't identified by my computer. The extentions are .r31, .r32, etc. I keep trying to extract here the 25 files identified by winrar.. which gives me one .img file. Nero and Magic ISO keep burning up to chapter 11 and saying burning complete. I've now gone through about 7 blank DVD's and through trial and error, and error, and error - can't figure out the problem.

When I get a .avi file.. I simply use ConvertxDVD, convert, then slow my speed to burn and it works.. but I can't use convertxdvd because it's a .img file. Help anyone?

For ne0rotic i'm not sure if theres an easier way which i'm sure there is but i have one way for you to solve this problem try getting dvd shrink and running it on your image file then use convertxtodvd to burn the files that dvd shrink created i've used that method before and it worked good luck
