(Problems with magnets links are fixed by upgrading your torrent client!)
If you have a Mac with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (except the 17-inch, 1.83GHz iMac) or a Mac Pro with AirPort Extreme, you can enable it to access an 802.11n wireless network using the AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enabler

Many Mac computers with an Intel Core 2 Duo and all Mac Pro computers with AirPort Extreme can be enabled to access 802.11n-based wireless networks. If you purchased one of these Macs, you can use the AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enabler software to activate this advanced wireless capability.

Important note: The Enabler is included free with the new AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n. If you purchase a new AirPort Extreme Base Station, you do not need to purchase the Enabler separately.

These Macs have the 802.11n hardware built-in:

    * MacBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo
    * MacBook with Intel Core 2 Duo
    * Mac Pro with AirPort Extreme option
    * iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo (except the 17-inch, 1.83GHz iMac)

Please make sure you have one of these Mac computers before purchasing the 802.11n Enabler software. It is not compatible with other Mac models.

or the macbook pro core duo!!!
802.11n is allready enabled on macbook pro's.

It mainly for macbooks and imacs.
Does it even work??
I have a Macbook Pro core 2 duo 2.6Ghz. The newest one. And I fail to meet the hardware requirements. :/ My network utility says 130 Mbps. Should it not be 300 with my new D-link DIR-655 router? It has 802.11n and I think my macbook also has that technology implemented...
SEED!
I also get the message that I don't meet the hardware requirements, I'm running P Core2Duo Macbook, I think the problem is that this enabler is for OSX10.4 and I'm running 10.5
All you folks just need to go to the System Profiler (OPTION+Apple pull down, select the System Profiler-the FIRST one down) and look under NETWORK on the left side and click once on Airport Card. This will tell you that you already have the 802.11n installed (most Macs released in the past 2 years do, but there were some Core 2 Duos that didn't and that's what this enabler does). If you try to run it on an Intel Core Duo or Power PC it will say "Hardware Limitation" or "cannot be installed..." etc. No free lunch, no magic. The broadcom chip that they used had the N installed but not enabled, then Apple threw folks a bone because they always hold features back to maximize sales and make previous owners pissed.

Don't complain that it doesn't work unless you do a quick Google check about the product.
