(Problems with magnets links are fixed by upgrading your torrent client!)
Vmware image with CentOS 5, xfce4, and oracle 10.2 installed (server and client). DB1 already created. root/root oracle/oracle
File list not available. |
you should have plenty of people downloading this :) including me :)
thank you :)
thank you :)
I'm uploading from home, so excuse the poor bandwith (around 30k average).
If you need DBA remote support, leave an email in the comments. I have good prices! ;)
You can ask questions here for this, though.
More details for the download:
Once inside the VM you can login to oracle and start a terminal.
The .bash_profile script was modified and will ask you to choose between two Oracle Homes:
1) Server home, Enterprise Edition. It has a 10.2.0.3 database (DB1), with latest security patch 2008.1. To start listener and database:
$ lsnrctl start
$ sqlplus /nolog
sql> conn / as sysdba
sql> startup
You can also start the db console, but I'm having problems to make it work (I think you need more memory, so if you want to try it then give the VM at least 1GB of memory): emctl start dbconsole
2) the Client Oracle Home contains Java EM console that you can start with: oemapp console
DB1 should already be added to your database tree.
Enjoy!

One more thing: all db user's passwords are "oracle"
Ty awesome uppload
Amazing upload.
Heads up to all on the memory allocation though... I skipped reading the comments and run into a brick wall. Scratched my head, restarted centos with moar ram and it worked perfect. Thanks aerotux!
[Note to self: Read comments before epic failure using others vm-images.. ]

Hello, do I need something to install this with ? How can I perform the installation ?
Just uncompress. You'll need VMWare Player (free download) or better installed. This is a virtual machine.
This torrent is awesome, .. I really thank you..
I was wondering .... how did you fuse this image like that.. ?
also , where can i obtain ORACLE 10.2.0.3 for linux ? thanks

i can't seem to get into database because it asks me for user name and password. Password should be "oracle" as mentioned before, but I can't figure out what is user name?
thank you!

miska1955, username is sys or system.
Oracle software can be download from otn.oracle.com free. You just need to register. This torrent is for educational porpose only (some people cannot install oracle themself).
