Countless hours are vested in identifying the most interesting, historically-influenced graphical impressions translated on each Aridi art collection. Master designer, Marwan Aridi, has taken the time to perfect the recreation of this ancient art form in digital format with precise attention to detail. This is why Aridi has become known around the world as the finest producer of historically accurate digital art. The reason for this recognition quickly becomes evident once you place an image in your drawing program. Since all the images are supplied in EPS vector format, any modification or color changes cam be easily done using a compatible illustration or graphics application. Aridi apparently did some combining of various volumes after all 37 volumes were complete. Volume 34 was originally called Seamless Dreams (seamless web background images), but was later discontinued and added to volume 18 BACKGROUNDS II. Volume 18 BACKGROUNDS was discontinued and also combined with volume 18 BACKGROUNDS II (notice there is no BACKGROUNDS I, only II and III). Included are all 38 original volumes compressed into one 7-ZIP file and will expand to 38 subdirectories with 19,654 files and 2.7Gb in size. Go to aridi.com for thumbnails of all images. one rather weird question.. why 7zip? i understand if you're on another operating system than windows, but it would have been nice to see it as a RAR or even a Tar.GZ, but hell no, a 7Zip?? you know how many people even know what the hell it is?? thank god i do, and i collect vector graphics...
thanks for the upload!! downloading it now.
thanks for the upload!! downloading it now.
Many of the EPS files are missing. Unfortunately, the remaining .jpgs are not infinitely scalable like the EPS files are....Any chance we can track down those missing EPS files and reload the torrent?
Lots of missing files due to some error in file compression. Like RelaxedAtmosphere has said, wtf is with the 7z crap.
well, i'm back to redeem myself... yes, i have no clue why you decided to zip it in 7zip, but if you use IZARC (google it, it's free) it will open.
90% of the shit is here, thanks... but it's not really what i'm looking for, but it does add to my 6TB of vector graphics.
will continue to seed until i hit 900:1 upload ratio.

He Issaquah, this is really wonderful stuff, thanx a million for sharing this. I'm stunned by the quality.
Now to some others: Why always complain ? This is free stuff ! Take it or leave it ! Somebody made an effort to upload. If its for guys like you I'm sure we will not see any further uploads from them...

7z is the most powerful compressor out there and has nothing to do with OS!
If this torrent is not what the nfo says, then its simply OK to complain!
We all play by the same rules, we all believe in sharing media for free, and we all have equal right to bitch if something stated is not right.(It helps improving the sharing community for all of us)
I hope the upper learns from his mistakes and keeps upping more stuff like this. And its never wrong to say: Thanks for the effort! I will apreciate this even if theres some files missing.
PS: There are standards for compressing, splitting, writing nfo´s and uploading... Google it DS.

btw... it opens just fine with WinRAR
Wow, downloaded and just went through some of the stuff. It's wonderful. By far the best around! Thanks Issaquah!. (One humoungous 600+MB 7z file but unzips with WinRAR with no trouble at all, as was stated here previously).
This is an absolutely unbelieveble stuff. What a huge work.. I really feel shamed to DL such a work done in countless hours, as the uploader have said...
no unzip error , perfect
7zip is an open format and you can use it in any operating system you want.
You can find GPL multiplatform source and binaries from 7-zip.org

Thank you so much :)
Thanks for the clipart, and thanks for using 7zip, the best zip prog out there in my not so humble opinion
@Nepacha - totally agree!!! 7zip is probably the best freeware compression software out there... and THANK U for the u.l @Issaquah!!!
It doesn't work!!!
And why do you use a .7z-file????
And why do you use a .7z-file????
I have to throw in my 2 cents to this debate.. 7Zip is awesome. It is free, small, unobtrusive file compression program that handles your zips and rars as well and doesn't but you to pay for it and wait everytime you try to use it like others I wont mention. Just try it the next time WinRar bugs you to purchase it cause it is not freeware. Thanks for the up Issaquah. AND THANKS FOR USING 7Zip.
And yes, I notice I mentioned WinRar after promising not to mention who it was, I was just pissed because TODAY, I installed 7zip on my mother in law's computer cause her winwar stopped working because she wouldn't pay for it. I am an idiot. Don't bother to tell me cause I already know.
appreciate the upload. thanks!
Gracias, sembraré
Perfec. :)
thanx great upload please seed!!!
It's asking for a password. What is it, please?
First off, great upload, thanks for sharing!!
Second the archive is complete and doesn't require a password.
That said, I agree with those saying 7zip is too obscure for sharing. Yes, it's tight and it's free, but if that was a deciding factor we'd all be using bzip. Most people have never heard of 7zip and not all compression software supports it. Pretty much everyone knows what a zip file is, the .zip format is handled natively by almost all operating systems and, every compression program I've ever used, including the unix version of bzip, can deal with it easily.
The few mb's you saved on the compression just don't justify abandoning the mainstream formats like zip.
That's my two cents worth, thanks again for the upload ;)
