tell me what you think
the reason these are called "illegal" is because of the fact that if you were to be found with these books in your possession your are put on the terrorist watch list in the US
Well, some of these are really old like The Anarchist's Cookbook and Silent But Deadly. Some of them contain inaccurate information which can be harmful (or worse) to those who follow them. And some of them are just lame like Fooling The Bladder Cops.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not decrying you for uploading them, but they're not as good or useful as they seem. People tend to download these and just leave them on their hard disks, never getting around to reading them.
Most of them don't even have any illegal content. Ask a lawyer.

I tend to agree with you Kodabar, and I also know for a fact that mere possession of these books implies guilt in the minds of authorities, no matter if you have not even read it. The problem is that such knowledge is never there when you need it.
books should never be illegal.
is it the real 3rd edition anywho well i need the fourth sumone upload it
Laej,
your goddamn right.
your goddamn right.
The only time these books become useful is when they indeed become illegal. For this reason the knowledge should be available to all.
These books may not be strictly illegal. Frankly, unless you acted on them, you probably wouldn't be charged if found in possession of them. (labeling them as illegal would probably get you in more trouble than actually possessing them)
The only way these could be considered illegal is if they were obscene (BS laws which circumvent the 1st amendment) in which case you could probably make the case that they hold (S)LAPS value.

Of course, this is all US law. We like to make sure that our law is obfuscated enough that pretty much anyone can be put away for something simply because they don't understand the law. Even if you can wrap your mind around federal law, you still have state and local laws to deal with and many laws are completely removed from common sense. As an example: it's illegal to purchase ephedrine containing medicines w/o signing something saying that you don't intend to manufacture methamphetamine with it. You probably wouldn't feel your guilt pangs going off if you mis-dated your signature...
I plan to seed this forever. If I get arrested for it, I'm moving to Canada. ;)

I know for a fact that you can get the anarchist's cookbook on amazon and have it sent to a US address. I've skimmed a few, mostly for curiousity and entertainment. I do agree that most of the info is way outdated with the technology today though.
