It was released in 1986. It was also covered by Wailing Souls for the 1993 movie Cool Runnings. Its music video won "Best Group Video" at the MTV Video Music Awards 1987, beating "With or Without You" by U2 and "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House, among others. The music video was taken from the film True Stories, with some additional content added. John Goodman, in an early role, appeared in both the film and MTV versions of the video.
