no, this isn't osx 86 server, this is a rip of the retail dvd. look for jas leopard server if you want that. i've been seeding this for months and i leave it to the others that have downloaded it to continue to seed.
thanks to all seeders! please continue seeding, i'd really appreciate it! thanks :D
tnx for the share jchpdv9210.
You can also use an iPod to install from a disk image. Here is a step by step guide: http://nickganga.com/2007/11/04/installing-leopard-using-an-ipod/

BTW, my 8GB Nano was just short of space (7.30GBs of space. DMG is 7.31. Kind of a pisser). I had to use my 120GB Classic--which worked awesome.
Whoa... Some SERIOUS Speeds Here People! PLEASE remember to leave it running after you've got a copy - So others can enjoy too.
Gotjosh do you do the technique the same way in the insturctions
I put it on a disk and put it into parallels and it said I need more RAM. I read the "Read Before you Install" document and it says you need at least 1GB of RAM. I have 2 and nothing is running but parallels. Can some one help please.
Uhhh... I am having problems with running this on vmware...
I converted .toast to .cdr, then I tried to run it on vmware, but after the background picture appears, there's nothing except for a spinning circle....

someone, plz help...
I gotta ask those of you who on one hand are saying how awesome X server is that they need to run it, but on the other are complaining about having problems running this on their wintel boxes... you could at least provide Apple with the resources to create this awesome shit by buying their hardware. Just sayin'
Please seed!

I have uploaded 12GB and still at 67%

Pirate rules applies here too!

Don't go over but at least seed as much as you get. 7.4GB up 7.4 GB down
Please SEED!!! I have been downloading this for 2 days and still only have 25%, 2 peers, and 4kb/s. SEED!!!
PLZ SEED!!
i don't found the serial number. where is it ?
Ive tried to install it on my power mac g5 1.6 / 1.5gb ram and it says : install cannot validate base system package .... ill try to burn the image instead , I was installing it from a hard disk ...

any ideas ?
you can not install from hard disk , must be usb or dvd
For those of you with PowerPC Macs and no blank DVD9 discs, I figured out how to install this. You need a different OS X disc (any version will work, just pirate the Tiger or Panther DVD/CD or CD version and boot to the first disc), go into Disk Utility and make an 8GB Mac OS Extended Journaled partition. Then boot back into whatever version of OS X you currently have, restore the DMG to that partition, restart holding Option, and select that partition you just created. This will boot into the Installer.
Hey jchpdv9210, Thank You. this worked out just great. Installed on an Early 2008 G5 Dual 2.0 the last of the g5 PPC family before the move to Intel Processors. The serial is in the comments over here..
