This is one of the most sought after of the America Undercover films. The show is about Scott, a 40-year-old divorced father, and his four childrenJob (20), Craig (18), Heather (15) and Sam (13). Scott has been introduced to the rave scene, and Ecstasy, by Craig. The two of them go out on the weekends, with some of Craigs friends, and stay up all night, dancing in a drug-fueled trance. Occasionally, they bring Heather and Sam along for the ride. While some Dad's might fancy a trip to the park or to a game, scott prefers the drug soaked night life for his precious little ones. Hes also aware of his role as a protector. One lengthy sequence documents a party at which Sam and Heather want to take Ecstasy for the first time. Scott is there, and is already rolling himself, and thinks maybe tonight is good night for Sam to try it also. Sam is only 13, and clearly giving your teen son drugs is A-OK with Scott. He gives them the money, and he even guides them through the experience, saying things like "feel good, Sam?" While his 13 year old son pupils rool around in his head and he can barely open his eyes. Parenting at it's finest. Thank God, Scotts ex-wife doesn't seem to think this is a good idea. When she reads one of her daughters letters and finds out about the drug use, she calls the sheriff, and Scott is arrested for drug possession. The films second half revolves around his legal problems, the extremely limited, supervised custody hes grudgingly granted, and the tear-stained faces of his children, who want to see him as much as he wants to see them. Or maybe they just want to do more drugs with pop, who knows. Regardless, it makes for one of the most fascinating and controversial documentaries out there. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0337719/ ----------- This cautionary program pulls no punches as it tracks the downward spiral of a successful suburban husband and father who, at 40, becomes addicted to the drug ecstasy and ruins his family and his marriage. A powerfully unsettling firsthand account of middle-class drug abuse, the program documents Scott's dive into the rave scene, where he encourages his teenage children to do drugs with him; his acrimonious divorce and custody battle; his arrest on drug charges; and his children's fruitless attempt to help him get straight. The emotional devastation and brain damage resulting from drug abuse are emphasized. Viewer discretion is advised.

Thanks for uploading good documentaries. Any chance for more HBO stuff?
What a crock of shit....Ecstasy is definitely not addictive and I would be far more worried about my 13 year old drinking alcohol.....fucking propoganda
I agree with the image of ecstacy being distorted. However 13 yr old's should not be doing e.
propoganda like most "documentaries". Damn its hard to find good real information
Why do I get Invalid torrent file on all your files?

It's actually pretty easy to get addicted to the experience as such, not the drug. So yeah, you can get addicted to doing E...

i used to be into e, and i thought it was definetly a good thing to be doing, now 15 years on and my opinion has definetly changed. scary watching that little boy being that high. im glad my dad isnt anything like this dude. liberal thinking taken to the extreme me thinks. good documentary and excellent download. hbo rocks. should get it in glasgow.
Quality of this is very low. Loud hiss and poor picture quality. Oh and since I'm here - Samlives, you are a fucking retard. Grow a brain, then kill yourself. I don't see how this is propaganda, even though it doesn't reflect my experiences with E. Get over yourselves, let a few years go by, gather some real life experience then vent an opinion based on more than just the irrelevant, baseless life-theories of a stupid 15 year old. And keep taking E. You have no future anyway.
Having spent about 5 years routinely taking E, living in NYC, going to NASA, Konkrete Jungle, the Armory, DUMBO, etc, sometimes taking 15-20 over a period of 2 or 3 days, I must admit the situation is complicated.
I took E for the first time when I was 16, in England, at a rave with my cousin, a DJ (this was 94). I've seen people get sick from dehydration & poor quality material.
However, I've seen more people in my life get sick from alcohol poisoning. I don't think E is any worse than alcohol if taken safely, and by legalizing the drug and educating people we could rid the world of the poor quality material & fakes, and help to prevent medical issues.
Almost all drugs can cause medical issues if not taken properly, this includes tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine. Saying E is 'bad' simply because it is illegal is pure ignorance. Saying it's harmless is just as ignorant. All drugs require their users to have at least some education, but with education and the good quality of the material that could be gained by an enlightened legalization policy, we could prevent these injuries AND stop putting people behind bars for things they willingly do to their own bodies.
That said, 13-year-olds should NOT be doing drugs - even if given by their parents. Their brains are not even CLOSE to being fully formed, and the effects of ANY recreational drugs on a developing brain (and body) is almost entirely unknown, and the risks are far too high to take any chances.

One more thing:
Some of the most enjoyable moments of my life were stumbling onto 7th ave, half-naked & drenched in sweat on a cold December Monday morning, heading to the 1/9 having just spent the past 12 hours rolling at NASA, laughing at all the suits staring at us, horrified, as we cackle and gnaw on our pacifiers.
Ah, nostalgia.

Bravo namshub, I couldn't have said it better myself. Obviously, spoken from experience and intelligence.
like the guy said never seen a dude addicted to e...seen plenty of meth addicts and alcoholics....and some die from lung cancer
I saw this on HBO when it originally aired and thought it was just the propaganda of it's time...they were way behind on the ecstasy "epidemic"
overall, if you haven't seen it, give it a shot it's well made at the very least
