Sorry. Do not know the song titles. .mp3
File list not available. |
Song titles? That's easy :-)
01 - Never In My Life
02 - 30 Days In The Hole
03 - Spoonfull
04 - Theme From An Imaginary Western
05 - Voodoo Chile
06 - Goin' Down
07 - Nantucket Sleighride
08 - Mississippi Queen
09 - Red House
10 - Little Wing
But what I would like to know is when and where this gig took place, and who else played besides L.West and W.Haynes?
Does anyone know?

This torrent appears to be incorrectly labeled. The "pickin on" series by CMH records (http://www.cmhrecords.com/web/page.asp?pgs=products&catid=1 )has been doing tribute style discs for groups ranging from The Grateful Dead, Led Zep, U2, The Who, Sabbath , Metallica, Beck, Radiohead, Van Morrison, etc. There must be about 100 of these tribute discs in the series that remakes the originals in a bluegrass style. Check out the amazing spectrum they cover in terms of artists that are featured.
It looks and sounds like the live mp3's in this torrent are from different sources. :-(
I can only ID two of the tracks in this torrent with reasonable accuracy- Just #1 and #8.
Am pretty sure those two are from 3/7/2000 NYC Mule show where Leslie West came out for three songs. Here is some info on that show:
1st Set: Wandering Child, Life Before Insanity, Bad Little Doggie (3)> Lay Your Burden Down (1), Fallen Down (1), World Gone Wild (2), Tastes Like Wine, I Think You Know What I Mean (4), Far Away (2), No Need To Suffer, In My Life (5)+
2nd Set: Never In My Life (6), Stormy Monday (6), Mississippi Queen (6), 32-20 Blues (7), Smokestack Lightning (8), Soulshine (9)
Encore: Mule (4)
Setlist Notes: (1) Johnny Neel on keyboards and back-up vocals; (2) Johnny on keyboards; (3) Johnny on keyboards, back-up vocals and harmonica; (4) Johnny on keyboards and harmonica; (5) acoustic; (6) Leslie West on guitar and vocals, Johnny on keyboards; (7) Derek Trucks on guitar and Danny Louis on keyboards; (8) Derek on guitar, Danny on keyboards and Johnny on harmonica; (9) Derek on guitar, Johnny on keyboards and vocals; + first time played
But I'll take any version of Theme for an Imaginary Western anyday!
You know it's suspect when the UL'er can't even ID the song titles.
