No, he ripped it from a CD. I think.
It asks for a CD key. This is a no-frills package; you'll need to find a keygen on your own. No frills means there are no extras included; the torrent is JUST the ripped CD (and the readme, which is short but does explain that you will need a keygen).

NOTE! UNINSTALL DANGER!
There is a known bug when uninstalling the "Sierra Utilities" that comes with installing Half-Life!
Either update Sierra Utilities or install Half-Life in an extra SUBfolder!
Example: C:\Games\Something\Half-Life
If you have it in C:\Games\Half-Life and uninstall, everything in C:\Games will be removed!
There is a known bug when uninstalling the "Sierra Utilities" that comes with installing Half-Life!

I already downloaded Half Life from two other torrents and both were fucked up on a certain point (glitched). This one better work, otherwise I won't seed thats for sure...
