Very rare and weird 70's giallo masterpiece from the director of the italian gorefest "Nightmare in a Damaged Brain" with beautiful chicks (NOT THESE HORRIBLE U.S.AMERICAN BIRDS WITH FAKE BOOBS and PLASTIC FACES WE HAVE TO SEE IN B-MOVIES, MTV NONSENSE n' PORN coming from over there today... :-) ), horny guys, bloody murders, lotsa nudity and a dated but suspenseful plot.

Anyway... Quality isn't great but watchable. 

When Mariale was a child, her father killed her mother and lover in front of her and then he killed himself causing a childhood trauma on her. 
Some years later, she is a beautiful lady who lives imprisoned in her castle by her husband.
She sends some telegrams to a bunch of friends so they can make a party; then they disguise, they drink.... and soon mad situations begins to happend. 
Besides, one by one are stalked by a misterious figure. Will all this weird situations and  murders be connected with the awful avent that occured 30 years ago...?

Best known for the infamous film Nightmare in a Damaged Brain delivers a truly strange giallo here, which somehow looks like a Federico-Fellini-movie on drugs. 
Beautifully shot with lots of nightmarish sequences, it delivers enough to keep every fan of suspenseful thrillers right on the edge. 
It is also quite disturbing, because it never clearly unmasks the killer, not even in the end. 
It's a pity that this unique giallo has been unavailable for some years until now. 

Here's a strange and unsettling giallo that borrows much from the maestro of the macabre, Mario Bava.
