Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 for Windows supports the following operating systems:

* Windows XP Service Pack 3 (Home or Professional, 32-bit)
* Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (32-bit)
* Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit)

Installation Instructions

The download on this page is an updater. You must have Pro Tools LE 8.0, 8.0.1 or 8.0.3 (or any CS releases for those versions) already installed on your computer to use this updater.

1. Download the Pro Tools 8.0.4 Updater from this page
2. Verify that Pro Tools 8.0-8.0.3 is already installed on your system
3. Launch the Pro Tools 8.0.4 Updater and follow onscreen instructions

Windows 7 Additional Installation Instructions

Caution: When installing a version prior to Pro Tools 8.0.4 on a Windows 7 machine, DO NOT plug in your LE device when the installer instructs you to do so. This could cause installation errors. Users should install Pro Tools LE 8.0.x without their device plugged in, then use the 8.0.4 updater and follow onscreen instructions, plugging in their LE peripheral when instructed.

Removing Beta Drivers: The Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 Updater does not remove and update the drivers to 8.0.4 if the Windows 7 beta drivers (v8.0.4b) are installed. For customers who have been using the Windows 7 Audio Drivers (Beta) for Pro Tools LE 8.0.3:

* Users who installed the Windows 7 Audio Drivers (Beta) for Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 should manually remove the Avid Audio Drivers via Programs and Features in the Windows 7 control panel before running the 8.0.4 updater.

pro tools 9 anyone?
I keep getting an error while installing... I've tried it with and without ticking the Pro-Tools Creative Suite, and with and without the MBox2 plugged in. I'm running it on Windows 7 64-bit and had it installed on another laptop that was pretty much the same without any troubles before.

It's error "The current Microsoft Windows version does not support this operation. ocurred in .\CopyInf.cpp at line number:383 Other Error:10 Internal Operation :200"

Everything is fully updated, I've taken off ALL previous Protools/Digi files, preferences etc.... So what's going wrong when I had it working on an almost identical laptop???? Does anyone know?
OK...i got this torrent to install but i dont no how to install Boom, Mini Grand & Xpand2...i see all three folders but dont no what to do with them or were to put them....PLZ HLP
does it work with windows 7 x64?
and if so what interface?

cheers!
I have a Line6 UX2! It works with Pro Tools! There are a lot of musicians who aren't good at computers, so you will hear a lot of crap about avid interfaces, but there is nothing wrong with any m-audio device, but you do get what you pay for!
Win7 ultimate x64 and Digi 002 starting from a clean install.
1. Installed 8.00 and rebooted
2. Installed 8.03 and rebooted
3. Uninstalled the 8.03 Drivers ONLY and rebooted
4. Installed the 8.04 Beta Drivers
5. Then after all of this was done I finally plugged in my 002 and it installed the drivers for my unit.

Why do i get an error saying A required dll file, CFnd.dll, was not found.? Can somebody help me this is getinng to be frustrating? I looked all over the net, googled it but i can find out how to fix this problem.
I am having the exact same problem as @dagtoohigh, I have previously owned an M-Audio Fast Track as hardware, and actually purchased a simple version of M-Powered.

Installation went smoothly, reboot and everything until I tried to open it, and Bam! "A required DLL file, CFnd.dll was not found."

I need answers, please reply soon.
so does it work? yay or nay?
Is there any chance I run this Pro Tools version in Windows 7 with no Digidesign or whatever hardware attached?

No cracks available that will open it?
sooooo nobody is gonna fucking seed?
Installation instructions:

1) Go the the following link and download the driver for your interface make sure if your interface is usb you get the usb version not the firewire version and if its firewire get the firewire version not the usb etc... I have the mbox 2 usb, so I go down to were it says 'Pro Tools USB Device Drivers' and click 'Mbox 2 USB Family Drivers' wait for it to download install it, then plug your interface in and windows should install it.

2) Unplug your interface, mount the .cue file that was extracted using winzip with 'magic disc'.
Installation will start, keep your interface unplug, it will ask you if you'd like to install your interface as the installation proceeds, ignore it for now.

3) After the installation, RESTART your computer. After it turns back on, plug in your interface and load up protools, it will ask you for a key, use the following: DIGI0800 d12b00a4 997ca32a

That's it, your good to go, you have successfully installed protools, enjoy.

Has anyone been able to use this successfully on a Mac running Parallels with Windows 7? I have an Mbox 1 but need to have protools for PC to use with some other software synths, etc that I only have PC versions. Many thanks in advance if anyone knows...
Will this work on Windows 8?
