MS-DOS (short for Microsoft Disk Operating System) is an operating system commercialized by Microsoft. It was the most commonly used member of the DOS family of operating systems and was the main operating system for personal computers during the 1980s. It was based on the Intel 8086 family of microprocessors, particularly the IBM PC and compatibles. It was gradually replaced on consumer desktop computers by operating systems offering a graphical user interface (GUI), in particular by various generations of the Microsoft Windows operating system and Linux. This torrent contains images of the 3 original floppy install diskettes for MS-DOS v6.22, released in April, 1994. It was the last stand-alone MS-DOS version before the release of Windows 95. Norton Commander (commonly shortened to "NC") was a prototypical orthodox file manager (OFM), written by John Socha and released by Peter Norton Computing (later acquired by the Symantec corporation). NC is a file manager which essentially acts as the text user interface for DOS. It was officially produced by Symantec between 1986 and 1998. The last DOS version of Norton Commander, 5.51, was released on July 1, 1998. Since this program was considered as a must-have for MS-DOS user it is also included in this torrent. Included version is 5.51, and just like MS-DOS, included are the images of the 3 original floppy install diskettes. Download speed will be a bit slow until there are few seeders. Be sure to seed after you have finished downloading, at least until your ratio is 1.000, to keep this torrent alive. Think about other downloaders. Don't worry, there is no reason for me to stop seeding this.
I assume you already downloaded it so just don't forget to keep seeding too.
Both MS-DOS and NC work just fine.
If anyone has a problem installing MS-DOS in VirtualBox,
he can visit this site, it helped me a lot:

Thanks man! I actually use dosbox so I don't need ms-dos (but thanks anyway because these images have some useful files like smartdrive for using USB bootsticks for example) but anyway thanks a lot for the latest NC!
Hi, I am having problems with - loading, burning, and viewing the content inside .IMG extension files from torrents, including these DOS + images.
I used MagicISO (virtual discs) to load images = failed.
I use Izarc, Winzip, PKZip (compression) to view/extract = failed
I used ImgBurn and Nero 9 to "load" = failed (unrecognized format?!
I used ImgBurn and Nero 9 to "burn" = failed at "load"
Both "burner" app do NOT display the A: drive = fail.
What program did you use to create the .IMG?
What OS did you burn the .IMG from?
I use XP 32 64 PRO and VISTA = FAILED.

I can burn the images to CD/DVD and then copy them over to floppies but damn that would waste tons of CD/DVD and hourS.
Use UltraISO for virtual disc.
These are floppy images, you don't burn them to CD/DVD but to floppy diskettes.
Use WinImage or FloppyImage to work with floppy images.

Ever notice , the do gooders never say anything about companies that use copyright to keep they're product from being used. Seeding
