A few other uploaders have torrented their own versions of either the abridged 2 hour or the unabridged 4 hour 1981 ABC-TV miniseries MASADA. What I have done is to combine multiple aspects of educational material along with fresh, clean AVI rips of the miniseries. Contained within:

1.	The full miniseries as originally presented in April, 1981. Please note that there were no extras or subtitles included with the DVD. It starred Peter O’Toole as Flavius Silva, the Roman commander, and was a fine dramatic piece, although mostly inaccurate historically. My favorite part has to be at the very end after the victory is announced, when a tired and cynical Silva snarls that all Rome won was “a rock in a wasteland by the shores of poison sea.” Full cast and production notes included in the documentation, along with production stills. NOTE – The DVD cover advertises 3 DVDs, but this is not so.

Masada was an American television miniseries that aired on ABC in April 1981. Advertised by the network as an "ABC Novel for Television," it was a fictionalized account of the historical siege of the Masada citadel by legions of the Roman Empire in 73 C.E. The TV series' script is based on the novel "The Antagonists" by Ernest Gann. The siege ended when the Roman armies were able to enter the fortress, only to discover the mass suicide by the Jewish defenders when defeat became imminent.

2.	The History Channel’s – LOST WORLD (Se2Ep05) one hour documentary on the buildings and methods employed by Judean King Herod the Great, builder of the Temple, Caesarea, the Judean Aqueduct, and the fortress at Masada. Torrent originally from thebox dot bz.

3.	The History Channel’s – BATTLEFIELD DETECTIVES – Siege of Masada (2005). Using freshly acquired archeological evidence and some decent deductive work, they do an excellent job of demonstrating the common story pf Masada to be largely a fanciful myth, and estimate the siege was a straightforward affair that probably took less than 8 weeks. Torrent originally from thebox dot bz

4.	A collection of photographs and websites showing the fortress and aspects of the assault.

5.	A Teaching Company Lecture series by Prof. Isaiah M. Gafni on the historical beginnings of Judaism, especially the rabbinical period which starts at this time. Lectures 20-23 in particular deal with Masada, the Bar Kochba Revolt 70 years later, and the impact the loss of the temple and Jerusalem had on Judaism. I believe that this lecture series is now out of print and may no longer be torrented anywhere else. In any event, it’s a bit rare. Torrent originally found on makegreatmusic dot net

So, for you history students out there, here is a great movie that just ain’t true, a good deal of documentary evidence toward that end, and the major results on later world history down to modern times of the Diaspora of the Jewish People.

Dude, it's less than a day old. I'm the only seeder, and it just reached 50%. Take a breath, or at least have the brains to check sizes, dates, and think. Most people don't have very fast upload capabilities.
