        A  brash streetwise  Italian is  an undercover  agent for  the
        Organized Crime  Bureau. He  goes from  one assignment  to the
        next,  busting dangerous  criminals while  putting himself  in
        danger, much  to the  chagrin of  his conservative  family and

        Fruit of the Poisonous Tree (1)

        Vinnie disappears while Beckstead is trying to convince  Frank
        to take a  desk job after  his recent brush  with death. Frank
        follows  leads  to  Miami  and  begins  to  work  with Michael
        Santana,  a  disbarred  federal  prosecutor,  to  conduct   an
        unauthorized  investigation into  Vinnie's disappearance.  The
        OCB  believes  the evidence  shows  that Vinnie  is  dead, and
        closes the case. At  Vinnie's memorial service, Frank  reveals
        his status as  an agent to  redeem Vinnie in  the eyes of  his
        friends and relatives, at Carlotta's request.
