Plot:A post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind.

NOTE: By quality of source (lot of encoding errors in by PrisM encoded
      DVSCR),[quark] is definily appropriate format.
However, one should know that PrisM is,without doubt, best encoder
of all P2P guys (not a Scene) and this "Book.of.Eli" screener is by
miles better than anything so far (CAM and TS/TC).
Only problem is (was) the size - 1.02GB.

DO NOT download if you watch on high resolution TV or monitors.
NOT for handhelds or phones, just computers.
Playable in VLC, WMP and MPC with CoreCodec and DivX 7 AAC DShow filter,
mplayer, KMplayer and of course, in QuckTime Player.
However, picture is better than 90% of CAMs and definitely watchable. Goal was "preview" quality, not the ultimate one - what is self-evident from redicolously small file-size. Trade-offs must be included.
And please, do not watch it with a nose in the screen, take proper distance to the monitor or TV (as advised in TV manuals).
For example; when I finish encoding, I always check out the file, do short preview, rewinding back and forth. It usualy looks ugly - but - then I move back and sit on the sofa, 6 feet away - and everything looks as it should. Nice and watchable, like on older, analog TV set.

                     a) If you are from developed countries, have download
speed above 15 KB/s, think twice what are you doing.
                     b) If you download [quark] to test your "equipment"
forget about it, on first sign of "malfunctioning"
or "misdoings" of any kind I will block you. (if you
change IP number, I will block your ISP, your region,
your country and even whole continent.
So, think thrice what are you doing.
Internet IS Big place and you can go anywhere else, true?
No one force you to download my torrents, right?
                     c) If you have FAST connection, HELP the people by downloading
                      - however NOT as you've done elsewhere, but by KEEPING your
UPLOAD SPEED at MAX. Any other behavior will be treated
                     d) When you finished downloading [quark] STAY TO SEED.
Anyone who can download - CAN UPLOAD too.
Ones who cannot - only because they are poor - are excluded.
Ones who are not poor, I beg you to show two things:
                     solidarity and perpetual goodness.
PLEASE, think about the ones who have Internet but cannot afford download of big files.
Every day I have 10% of my peers on dial-up and ancient hardware who need whole day to download a "normal" sized 350MB.
Please, I beg you for understanding of my work, let them through and if you can - help them by downloading and seeding afterward as long as you can. These people have slow download and it helps them a lot (please, be generous - on such file having ratio 9:1 is like 1:1 on normal-sized XviD)..
Example for the ones looking more on ratio numbers, than real and "generated" traffic (ones who need to save - skip this, its just an example):
>>XviD's downloading 350MB: giving back 350MB equals 700MB (1:1 ratio)
>>[quark]'s is ~70MB + 9 times 70 = 630 MB (well... 70 MB "less")
So, people who can give more, should not be focused on plain ratio-number too much - in "world" of [quarks] many things are different.

Thank you.

Jump in. [quark]s are "open" (99% of times) - for the people with slow connection.
thanks twentyforty , i have been waiting to see this movie. thanks for what you do !
wow man great release . but since its action movie wud defintly like to hv a 350mb copy . hope u upload it ??
yeah same here -
also with last week's outage is everything caught up? 30rock is not being uploaded?
Hi 20-40,
Thanks for the [warning] and the eoncode/upload.

You are LEGEND! A 1GB screener to 158MB quark. You are the Man, the Legend, the genius, the 20-40.

Now.... Only hope the movie has been worth tht wait BUT that is not your issue.

Thank you.

@ ALL Moderators. Please the uploader a green-skull OR at least give him the chance to prove that he is not one of the spammers or DOSA or whtatever has been going on for the last week.

@ FANS of 20-40 - Please contact moderator and ask them to give green skull (VIP STATUS) to 20-40.
Only do this if YOU believe he deserves to be a VIP member of TPB and so won't get blocked , with hundreds of others, as happened on week of 26th April. At least 3 times for upto 48+ hours.

I have contacted them through the [Conact Us] area and then [Fan Mail]. If anyone knows a better way please post every few posts so it isn't missed.

I am a massive fan and I think it is a disgtrace that he couldn't upload BUT that is ONLY my opinion.

For the invention of the [quark format] alone they should be handing out live time membership and awards.

abslty ryt man ... he totaly deserve it .. he is simply THE BEST ..
@MeInc.: [quark]s never have Sample, on weird way - they are - the sample.
For what is worth, I watched Eli [quark] last night on my system: Windows Media Player/Haali splitter/CoreCodec/DivX7 AAC on 1024x768, hooked to stereo rack. Everything as I have recommended before for any MP4 playback. I moved in the sofa, 6 feet away and - enjoyed every minute of the movie and - [quark] encoding.
However, I hope that one (and you) can relate ridiculously small file-size of 157MB with what could be expected and benefits for the people on 5 kB/s download "speed" or very limited budget.
Looks pretty damn good for being such a small file.
Watched it on a 15.6" screen and it looked kinda like old film quality but not pixelated.
@Jon: Just one thing - Life on Mars S01E01 input (BluRay.720p) was 3.03 GB.
My encoding (720p.H264) is 0.348 GB.
Well, size "gain" is even bigger. And no degradation at all - in quality AND frame-size (both are 1280x720).
@zmacdaddy8: Yes, this week as [quark] because of the duration (double).
Great movie, I will recommend and as usual great quality and fast download.
Thanks 20/40!!!
ps: sent a mail to ask for the green skull, you so deserve it!!!
