Textbook in PDF format Differential Equations with Mathematica completely covers constructing, numerical computing, and approximating solutions to ordinary and partial differential equations. The book serves as a hands-on introduction to the subject matter through numerous examples that explain how to solve important applications using Mathematica. Mathematica's diversity makes it particularly well-suited to performing many of the calculations encountered when solving elementary ordinary differential equations. In some cases, Mathematica's built-in functions can immediately solve a differential equation; in other cases, Mathematica can be used to perform the calculations encountered when solving a differential equation. Since one goal of the traditional differential equations course is to introduce the student to basic methods and algorithms and for the student to gain proficiency in them, nearly every topic covered includes typical examples solved by both traditional methods and Mathematica. Consequently, we feel that we have addressed one issue frequently encountered when implementing computer assisted instruction. In addition to the above, Differential Equations with Mathematica uses Mathematica to establish well-known algorithms for solving elementary differential equations
