Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics covers the whole field of biophysics, from ion channels to DNA topology and from X-ray diffraction to NMR. The journal has gained a worldwide reputation, demonstrated by its high ranking in the ISI Science Citation Index, as a forum for general and specialised communication between biophysicists working in different areas. The majority of reviews published are invited from authors who have made significant contributions to the field, who give critical, readable and sometimes controversial accounts of recent progress and problems in their speciality. Thematic issues are occasionally published. - journals.cambridge.org Issue 01: pp. 1-69. Helicase mechanisms and the coupling of helicases within macromolecular machines. Part II--Integration of helicases into cellular processes pp. 71-89. Photosystem II--the engine of life pp. 91-145. Mechanisms of metalloenzymes studied by quantum chemical methods Issue 02: pp. 147-227. Small-angle scattering--a view on the properties, structures and structural changes of biological macromolecules in solution pp. 229-256. Chaperonin-mediated protein folding--fate of substrate polypeptide Issue 03: pp. 257-306. Advances in biomolecular simulations--methodology and recent applications pp. 307-340.
