Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics covers the whole field of biophysics, from ion channels to DNA topology and from X-ray diffraction to NMR. The journal has gained a worldwide reputation, demonstrated by its high ranking in the ISI Science Citation Index, as a forum for general and specialised communication between biophysicists working in different areas. The majority of reviews published are invited from authors who have made significant contributions to the field, who give critical, readable and sometimes controversial accounts of recent progress and problems in their speciality. Thematic issues are occasionally published. - journals.cambridge.org Issue 01: pp. 1-39. Analysis of branched nucleic acid structure using comparative gel electrophoresis pp. 41-101. DNA topoisomerases--harnessing and constraining energy to govern chromosome topology Issue 02: pp. 103-132. Bacterial flagellar motor pp. 133-180. Protein-protein interaction and quaternary structure Issue 03-04: pp. 181-204. Feasibility of imaging living cells at subnanometer resolutions by ultrafast X-ray diffraction pp. 205-264. Interactions of surfactants with lipid membranes pp. 265-297. Fibrils with parallel in-register structure constitute a major class of amyloid fibrils--molecular insights from electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy
