Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics covers the whole field of biophysics, from ion channels to DNA topology and from X-ray diffraction to NMR. The journal has gained a worldwide reputation, demonstrated by its high ranking in the ISI Science Citation Index, as a forum for general and specialised communication between biophysicists working in different areas. The majority of reviews published are invited from authors who have made significant contributions to the field, who give critical, readable and sometimes controversial accounts of recent progress and problems in their speciality. Thematic issues are occasionally published. - journals.cambridge.org Issue 01: pp. 1-40. Protein kinase inhibitors--contributions from structure to clinical compounds pp. 41-81. The unique structure of A-tracts and intrinsic DNA bending Issue 02: pp. 83-116. Chaperonin-mediated protein folding--using a central cavity to kinetically assist polypeptide chain folding pp. 117-137. The Era of RNA Awakening--Structural biology of RNA in the early years Issue 03: pp. 139-158. Single-particle reconstruction of biological macromolecules in electron microscopy - 30 years pp. 159-200. Elongation in translation as a dynamic interaction among the ribosome, tRNA, and elongation factors EF-G and EF-Tu pp. 201-246. Structure-functional intimacies of transient receptor potential channels Issue 04: pp. 247-300. SAIL - stereo-array isotope labeling pp. 301-316. Simulating activity of the bacterial ribosome pp. 317-370. Protein characterisation by synchrotron radiation circular dichroism spectroscopy
