========================================================

This is a newly located VHS of Pink Floyd's 1980 performance at Earls Court. It's anonymous owner generously allowed us to digitize the VHS, and thus we are putting it up. While it is not overall better than Divided We Fall, there are some positives to this tape.

Positives -
Audio - The audio on this tape is uncompressed unlike the other sources out there, meaning it sounds quite good

Bitrate - As this was captured using modern equipment, the bitrate is quite high and there is more detail able to be captured

Negatives -
Noise - The tape is far noisier than Divided We Wall, and while DNR tests in AVISynth have proved helpful , the noise is still a large issue

Haloing - The black and white haloing is extremely noticeable and would be extremely difficult to remove

Time Base Errors - Being a higher generation than Divided We Fall, this tape has more time base errors and thus drops out more often, though the Time Base Corrector used on this tape helps a bit with them

Overall, while this is not a better source than Divided We Fall, we wanted to upload it because of the positives, and since there are so few sources of this currently available on the internet.

Transfer process - Panasonic AG-1960 (S-VHS Player) --> Panasonic DMR-ES15 (Time Base Corrector) --> IO Data GV-USB2 (Capture Card) --> VirtualDub2 (Capture Software) --> AVISynth (Deinterlacing) --> Handbrake (Production Max Video, FLAC 24 bit Audio)

Tape digitized and deinterlaced by Ben S
