mp3 320kbps with covers This was recorded during a saturday night party at home. So the participants were a bit pissed... and check out the back cover for the guest list...WOW! If you're into Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee then you might want to download this. 'Cause they were amongst the guests...and this is real difficult to get. The audio quality is damn good. And this album itself is a fuckin' masterpiece. A rare gem and one of the finest blues albums you'll ever have in your collection. IMAO...it's that fuckin' good... And where blues is concerned...it takes a lot to impress me...BUT THIS DOES

Though little known, singer/guitarist Alec Seward was a close friend of Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee and a master of acoustic country blues. Sadly, little documentation of his work exists, and Late One Saturday Evening offers a rare chance to take a close look at the Virginia bluesman. This stereo recording, made at a house party in 1966, was never intended for commercial release. It's simply an informal jam session with Seward up front and Terry (harmonica, vocals), McGhee (acoustic guitar, vocals) and washboard player Washboard Doc offering their support. No marketing considerations, no slick producer -- just some very talented friends getting together and having some spontaneous fun. The sound quality is surprisingly good, and Seward's inspired, uninhibited performances prove that he was someone who didn't deserve to be so obscure.
