Codec WMA Lossless The second album of the best line-up of UFO did not disappoint fans remembering the previous "Phenomenon", in which Michael Schenker debuted in the group. The album is sharper than its predecessor, more coherent, with a smaller dose of calm ballads and instrumental experiments. In addition, a certain stylistic differentiation of works written with the participation of Schenker and Way began to become more and more visible in the group. Hit rock songs, both faster and calmer, come from the hand of Schenker (and Mogg, of course), while less catchy songs, but with a rich and ambitious arrangement, changeable tempos, moods, often also heavy, reminiscent of Black Sabbath riffs, are the domain of Pete Way. On "Force It" there are heavy "Mother Mary" (under which the whole band is signed), even heavier "Too Much Or Nothing" (Way's original composition), or the sensational "Out In The Street". The latter track is a great example of how UFO musicians, apart from simple, catchy "rockers", are able to create no less hit songs, but more sophisticated in terms of arrangement and dynamics. The album opens with the most successful composition on the album - "Let It Roll". This track together with "Rock Bottom" from the previous album is a real Schenker's show, and by the way the quintessence of all that is best in UFO. An incredibly simple riff, played practically on one note, creates the background for Mogg's typical, unmelodic and very characteristic vocal. In the middle, instrumental part, we also have a brilliant sample of Schenker's guitar invention, though completely devoid of virtuoso improvisations. Then we also have the very successful hit "Shoot Shoot", another classic rock hit from the group, with a simple riff and a catchy melody. The songs "Love Lost Love", "Dance Your Life Away" and "This Kids" are maintained in a similar climate. The only representative of UFO's calm, ballad-like playing on the album is the beautiful, acoustic "High Flyer", in which Schenker proves that he is also doing quite well without electricity in the guitar. The album "Force It" consolidated the success of the new UFO line-up and allowed them to reach out. You can hear a certain suggestion of the development of UFO music, mainly in terms of including a permanent keyboard player in the band. The effects can be heard already on the next album ...
