This is a lossless rip of the retail CD due to be released next week. Enjoy.

Is this the BriBerY VBR or the avax home ws16 .rar's reconverted to .flac?

The writing format of the files even looks identical to the above two VBR sources.

Or is it a genuine FLAC from CD?

I'll soon be able to tell when I look at the frequency spectrum graphs with the lopped off high end which you only get from mp3's; not FLACS, WAVS, WV, APE, CDA and other lossless formats.
@roaduck trach 4 appaers to have content well above 16Khz up to 20Khz maybe a good'un or converted to mp3 with highpass off.
I do however hear some mp3-like artifacts in track 1 and I'm not really impressed by the lack of definition in the low tones, both facts indicate a lossy source.

But thanks anyway to the uploader.
lowpass of is what I meant.
Yeah it was great of neil1966hardy uploading a version of the album so early.

I was just trying to ascertain the provenance of the file that's all.

As Kate Bush is a perfectionist with her own 48 track multi million pound studio recording losslessly onto HDD it should sound amazing.

I made a WAV conversion of the supposed FLAC files and burnt it slowly.

When played on my British $4000 Sugden class "A" CD player I wasn't that impressed; phasey, a bit mushy midrange and indistinct top-end.

As for the bass - I can sort the wheat from the chaff with a $2000 three cubic foot 1000 watt subwoofer and I didn't think that it was that clever.

Her last album - The Directors Cut absolutely buries it for SQ IMO.

There's two more copies of KB's latest on the 'bay but they're obviously direct copies of the two 102MB VBR rar's floating about on the net.

Personally, lieffies, I don't think that there is a genuine FLAC released yet.
@roaduck totally agree
I stand corrected lieffies. There was no genuine .flacs or lossless versions "at the time."

Good news travels fast on the web!

I just found two more belting versions.A 96Khz / 24 bit flac and a straight CD copy into WAV which I've uploaded here.
