please do Arthur Christmas please
the new xbox dashboard doesnt support your ULs HR! i DLd the last 3 ULs they played fine and then when i updated my console, it says its not supported anymore. bummer :(
maybe need to delete your codec and install it again.
ok i deleted it. but i forgot where to download it again lol and its not giving me the option to update it :/ ill keep trying to find it. this new dash is pretty wild lol

ok i found it but that wasnt the problem :/

update. i "converted" your UL to .mp4 by just changing the name on the file and it still wouldnt work. then i tried converting with vlc with the preset config. of H.264 + AAC (MP4). all i changed was to uncheck the boxes for keep original video/audio tracks. the xbox recognized it but the quality wasnt as good. so xbox will still recognize .mp4 im not very knowledgeable about converting stuff but the only other thing i see is the ac3/a52 audio track? could that be it? sorry about the lengthy post just trying to save you a couple of steps. do you know how i can remove that 2nd audio track with vlc? thanks
you could do it with ffmpeg. A 1 line command would just rebuild the file while keeping the tracks in place. or you could use mp4box. can try yamb as well. there isn't any reason to re-encode anything i'm sure.

try this with ffmpeg on the command line

ffmpeg -i "input file.m4v" -acodec copy -vcodec copy "output-file-xbox.mp4"

google ffmpeg you will find a binary someplace.

I love all of your videos. You are the best! Can you please do Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Thank you!
yeah i cant install anything new on my computer, i forgot my password for my administrator account and i have to use a limited user. ive just been too lazy to get it reset. but ok thanks for the help, ill try doing it on my girls computer. and thanks for all the ULs, your work is awesome and i appreciate it
any word on if this has cinavia? I believe it will which will make it unplayable on PS3, but let me know if anyone has had success.
freebase, you can trust HR just DL it then see if it works. if it works the rest of them should too.
it doesn't require admin access, ffmpeg is just a binary.
Hey holyroses,

Because its the holiday season can you upload the movie "Bad Santa"? pleeeeeaaase???
OH I trust HR all the way, but ripping does not get rid of Cinavia, I'm not sure if there is a reliable way to do it at all
Thanks for all the movies i'm ganno seed as much as i can
hey thanks HR the ffmpeg worked perfectly. only took like a minute.
hey HR, im having the same problems with my xbox. I want to try that ffmpeg thing but I have a mac so it won't work. Is there any other way i can remove the audio with a similar program for mac?
ffmpeg compiled for mac?

try streaming with this program

http://www.yazsoft.com/products/playback/

told it works.

ok thank you. I appreciate your help. I know you work hard to get all this content up for us, but I was wondering if theres any way you would be able to upload a version of your newest movies that will work with the new xbox update. I fully understand it will add to your workload so no big deal if you can't do it, but I would very much appreciate if you could. Thanks again for everything!
i don't actively own a 360 to figure out what MS did. I'll be looking to borrow one over the holidays to see if an amicable solution could be developed.

try playback and connect360 for now, or windows7 media center and setup the 360 as an extender.

OR buy an apple tv!
how come when i watch some of these movies on my ps3 for bout 15 mins then......cinavia....pops up!!!!! what can i do bout that and how do i know whats movies playes and what movies have cinavia???
bodymore80,
at some stage your PS3 was updated and infected with Cinavia detection.
The short answer is don't use a PS3 for playback (some Bluray players have it also though). I don't know how you'd go about verifying which Bluray discs (and therefore the encodes as Cinavia is buried in the audio stream) are infected with Cinavia. Google may help.
