Als de beeldschone Emu getuige is van een bloedige aanslag op een lid van de Chinese maffia, stelt de dader 'de Freeman' zich aan haar voor. Zoals de traditie bepaalt zal zij moeten sterven door zijn hand. Maar als de twee opnieuw oog in oog staan, krijgt 'de Freeman' het niet over zijn hart om haar van het leven te beroven.
