I can't get it work in a XP machine... The installation process get stuck and BAM!! BSOD...

I followed instructions to the latter, not working. Deleted everything started again still no luck. Currently running on trial version so cant save a damn thing (terribly frustrating)
Maybe someone has figured this crap out and can suggest something else to try??

I have installed, uninstalled, installed and still cant get it finished.
Install, uncompress patch folder into ableton/live8/program click the patch it says: connot find the file. Search the file?. The auz. file comes up still. Click the auz. Ableton opens and says "the authorisation file is invalid on this computer"
Install max5 and still same.
This is with all virus protection off and have tried with different IP address

Crack didn't work for me. So I got the crack from this torrent instead and it worked just fine. Took about 4 seconds to download it.

people! who has a problem like this "this authorization file not valid on this computer" follow this steps:
- install ableton and max
- DELETE the "Update" folder in xy:...AbletonResourcesExtensions
- copy the patch at the "Program" folder
- patch
- double click on the authorization file
like this switches over off the auto update in the preferences. it was so for me. it works for me so perfect (sorry my shit english)

I think if you follow these steps this should work for you:
1) Disconnect from the Internet. You simply must until the thing is cracked. The updater seems to work really fast and detects the version is cracked and will disable the AUZ quickly.
2) Install Live and then MAX if you want it. (The MAX I have on my desktop says it is a trial version and is only good for 30 days, but not sure what will happen inside Live yet.) If it asks you to reboot then do it.
You do not have to install to the default directory, you can change it if you want. I do not like a bunch of stuff on my C-drive if I have a choice. I installed to my D-drive and so far so good.
3) While your net is off and before you try to patch anything go to the directory where you installed Live, go to Resources-Extensions and then delete the folder that says "updater". Just delete it completely as you do not ever want to use it.
4) Now that Live and MAX are installed and the updater folder eremoved, unzip the crack (patch) and then copy/paste it to the directory you installed Live to, and into the Program folder.
5) Open the patch and it should automatically find Ableton without any searching, then double click the AUZ file.
earlier the tings was deauthorizing in ten minutes or so. So far it has hung in there a quite a while.
You cannot try to download anything into this until you have done these steps. You just have to be patient.
