The Delphi programming language was first produced by Borland in 1995 and after being transferred to the independent CodeGear division, in 2008 its development was transferred to Embarcadero Technologies and released under the name Embarcadero Delphi. From the 2007 version onwards, with the addition and support of the C++Builder and .NET environments, this suite has become more extensive yet integrated and is offered under the name Embarcadero RAD Studio. RAD stands for Rapid Application Development and means rapid software development and production, and the Delphi language was one of the first tools that used this program development methodology. This programming language is designed based on the Object-Pascal language or object-oriented Pascal language and is actually its replacement.
