Rogue Waters is a turn-based strategy with RPG elements, enriched with solutions taken from the roguelike genre. The production was developed by Ice Code Games - an independent Polish development studio, whose portfolio includes Re-Legion and Hard West 2. The authors take us to a fantastic land overrun by pirates and allow us to play the role of one of these terrors of the seas.

In Rogue Waters we see the action from a bird's eye view. During the game, we lead the crew of a pirate ship that travels through a vast archipelago in search of fortune and fame. Over time, we recruit new subordinates, differentiated in terms of combat potential and preferred weapons. The game world is procedurally generated, so each adventure is different from the previous one.

Of course, our pirates do not shy away from combat (which takes place in turn-based mode). When an enemy ship appears on our way, we can engage in a sea battle and start firing cannons, aiming at specific elements of the enemy ship. After such an initial "softening" of the adversaries, we have no choice but to let our sea wolves board and fight another direct skirmish, this time primarily with melee weapons.

It doesn't end there, because as we progress, we can save legendary sea creatures (like Kraken) from trouble and call on them for help in battle. These unusual helpers not only spread fear in the ranks of our enemies, but also significantly increase our chances of victory.
