I don't know what's wrong with jalucian's eyes.
Any big (42"+) TV will show artifacting all over the place on a 1920x1080 picture if the bitrate is below 14 Mbit/s or so. And in this 5Mbit/s torrent it shows, mainly because this movie is so textured, gritty, and grainy.
For smaller screens it's a perfect size/quality balance.

Not true. Take a look at dhjudasx's encodes @ 2250kbps. There's some "slight" artifacting on screens 50" or so, but not "all over the place" like you claim. Bitrate is not the only determining factor in quality. Motion estimation method, motion estimation range, pskip, subme... there are at least half a dozen or more x264 settings that come in to play. When those settings are right, a lower bitrate encode can look better than a higher bitrate encode. For even smaller screens (like computer viewing) 1800-2250kbps for a 1080p is plenty, depending on the amount of high motion in the film, and assuming theres not a lot of grain. Even for high grain, 2800 or so is plenty for small screens.
pls upload it in 1080p CEE with multi audio and multi subs
