Farscape is een Australische/Amerikaanse 

sciencefiction-TV-serie, geproduceerd door Jim Henson 
Company (bekend van de Muppets) en Hallmark Entertainment. 

In de serie worden belangrijke personages vervuld door poppen 
animaties.
In de serie raakt de Amerikaanse astronaut John Crichton 
per abuis in een wormgat verzeild tijdens een 
experimentele ruimtevlucht. Eenmaal uit het wormgat 
blijkt hij zich in een compleet nieuw heelal te 
bevinden. 
Voordat hij zich hierover ook maar kan verbazen belandt 
hij midden in een ruimtegevecht, waarin hij per ongeluk 
een schip ramt, dat vervolgens explodeert. Hij wordt aan 
boord genomen van een reusachtig levend ruimteschip 
dat bemand is door een drietal buitenaardse wezens, 
gevangenen, zo blijkt, die net bezig zijn te ontsnappen 
uit handen van de Peacekeepers, een mensachtig ras van brute 
militairen.

turns into a completely new universe are.
Before he even this may surprise he finds himself in the 
middle of a space battle, which he accidentally
ramming a ship, which then explodes. He is taken aboard 
a huge living space
which is staffed by three aliens, prisoners, it turns 
out, just in the process to escape from
hands of the Peacekeepers, a humanoid race of brutal 
soldiers.
