The entire Distant Worlds series, including all three expansion packs: Return of the Shakturi, Legends, and Shadows. Follow the instruction in the "read me" file EXACTLY or you will have problems. Distant Worlds requires Internet Explorer and Windows Medial player to run.

Hey just a heads up, this does work with 1.9.0.11 all you need to do is run the dwcrack during the popup phase like the rest of the times you crack it

I've done all the steps as you stated in your instructions, even the plus step to install the 1901 update, but I have a problem. The game runs.....until I start a game, and goes to the "creating galaxy" screen, and then the game simply stops doing anything. At fisrt I thought it was because I chose a huge galaxy configuration, but after 30 minutes and can't get past this screen, well I dont know what to do I've already unistall and re-installed several times, and cant get past this screen. Any help?

1. Mount "Distant Worlds.iso" image and install using this serial number: 4899-7585-8107-3086
2. Run "Distant Worlds - Return of the Shakturi v1.5.0.0 Setup.exe", go to the screen where you enter the serial
3. Run "Distant Worlds Setup Crack.exe", click "Crack Setup"(Do not close the "Setup Crack"). Now continue the installation using the serial: 4899-7585-8107-3085 (Close the "Setup Crack" after the installation has finished)
4. Run "Distant Worlds - Legends v1.7.0.0 Setup.exe", go to the screen where you enter the serial
5. Run "Distant Worlds Setup Crack.exe", click "Crack Setup"(Do not close the "Setup Crack"). Now continue the installation using the serial: 4899-7585-8107-3084 (Close the "Setup Crack" after the installation has finished)
6. Run "Distant Worlds - Shadows v1.9.0.0 Setup.exe", go to the screen where you enter the serial

Dont work! Followed instructions, updated to newest patch, used the crack, it installed and it just opens for a second and closes.....
For those of you, who have problems running the game follow the following advice ( found somewhere in the tech-sup forum of the game ) :
Update every game through the "update distant worlds" application before installing the next expansion. In other words the instruction in the "readme" should read the following:
step 1. As in the "readme"
step 1.5. Update through the "update ... " application.
step 2. As in step 2 of the "readme"
step 2.5 Update through the "update ... "
step 3. As in step 3 of the "readme"
And so on.
For installing the aforementioned updates you should again use the crack included in the torrent during the installation of the updates in question.
You should keep in mind that you need "WMP" an "IE" to play the game, something mentioned already.
