Concierto no. 6 in G - dur - Vivace Alessandro Marcello - Alessandro Marcello (1669-1747 Italy) was primarily a mathematician, philosopher and poet. The music he composed for his own pleasure, and was considered an amateur composer. In our times, it is known as a composer (as well as his brother - Benedetto Marcello). His works he published under the pseudonym Eterio Stinfalico. Among his surviving works 12 solo cantatas (1708), 12 violin sonatas (about 1738), and 18 concertos for various solo instruments and orchestra, of which the most famous was first published in 1717, the Concerto for Oboe and Strings in D Minor, whose arrangement for harpsichord performed by JS Bach.
