As promised...a .FLAC rip of this (2000) compilation.......widely available in LOSSY elsewhere. The lore of Badfinger reads like a Greek tragedy In less than 10 years this band created several of the greatest (IMO) rock tunes ever. In the shadow of the BEATLES and exploited by the management, this quartet: PETE HAM, TOM EVANS, JOEY MOLLAND, and MIKE GIBBINS did what they obviously loved to do. Like the KINKS, they missed out on the credit they so rightly deserved. Rightness is in severely short supply presently. What strikes me like a meteorite is the consistent high quality of most Badfinger songs. The only dubious tune in this compilation (once again IMO) is track #5 MAYBE TOMORROW, but I only know what I like.

I love the LESLIE guitar on track #1 : NO MATTER WHAT and the slurred last note of the guitar solo on Rundgren-produced hit single BABY BLUE
The "changes" on track #19 also do it for me
I'll stop blabbing now and listen to some music
Any purchases you make as a result of P2P
filesharing helps to silence the critics

APPLE OF MY EYE should have been included in this APPLE CORPS LTD/CAPITOL compilation
