All About History - Issue 2, 2013 Author - historyanswers Format - pdf Requested Watermark removed (I think i got all of them)
File list not available. |
First of all, thanks very much for responding to my request in the forum. While I really do appreciate the effort, there were actually quite a few "watermarks" still on the pages, mostly the pages that had a colored or textured background. I can see where you removed the ones on a white background. I'll certainly keep a copy of this one, until a better one is found.
Worldmags and other watermarkers really do a disservice to user/readers of PDF magazines. If they want recognition, just post a clean copy and the word will get around.
I was surprised that a moderator would take the time to help me out. Very much a class act. Thanks once again for this!

Strange, on Nitro 8 Pro i dont see any :/ anyhoo i tried :)
That is curious. I viewed it with Foxit Reader, but I'll have to load up Nitro Pro and take another look at it. The first watermark I saw was at the top of page 2, big white letters.
I find the whole idea of magazines in PDF format very interesting. It allows the publisher to continue to place ads on the pages just as in the print edition, but once composed, cost virtually nothing to duplicate and send out to subscribers. Unfortunately there are publishers who actually believe they should charge a similar amount for both the print and the PDF, which I can't figure.
I'm only interested in PDFs that are exact copies of the printed edition. Newsweek recently went to a PDF format, but last time I checked they have obviously made it for tablets, as the fonts are huge etc.
I'm always trying to find ways of removing watermarks but none are 100% right now. I can remove the ones on white or solid colors, but those on textured or photos are a problem. I think posters like Worldmags add their watermark even before they scan the document.
I'm also interested in back issues of any main stream magazines, especially those that I read earlier in my life.
