Here's the first beta of my auto-updater, finally out of experimental builds. Please know that this is a beta and may have bugs. I have found the releases to be stable enough for a beta, so here it is. I have changed update servers, this should hopefully resolve issues with people not being able to connect to the update server. Note: You must do a clean install, pleases uninstall any previous versions you may have through the CP and use the cleanup tool provided before installing. I wanted to add that while this worked great for me, My Steam account got flagged as a Pirate account and they disabled my purchase ability due to this program.
Steam Support told me the flag was due to interactions between my account and the account 'gmsdownloader' - I think it has to do with me accidentally starting the GameMaker program from the folder instead of starting the auto-updater, this caused it to try to connect to Steam. I cancelled it immediately, but it still got me flagged.
If you plan on using Steam for anything, be careful with this!
