Enjoy ;) Feel free to leave a + vote and a comment, Thank You! Judas's Note: A true BdRip, the first one for proper respect of recreating the original with pristine video and audio, video and audio at very high bitrates. Like all my previous encodes, just so much better if you are one that MUST have something fantastic looking and sounding. The Audio is encoded that should totally surpass the AC3 640kbps core commonly found/supplied with this size of rip. However like any AAC, older equipment CANNOT bitstream AAC, which requires a complaint device that can decode and then transmit as a compliant bitstream or as raw LPCM, HDMI is your best option. The reason I use AAC is because it's a better/newer/more efficient and overall higher quality format compared to AC3, not to mention it still produces a smaller file size in the end too. Judas's Note 2: For a smaller, Friendlier version of this movie in around the 2gb range, it is located here: https://piratebayproxy.live/torrent/7772954/Star_Trek_XI_(2009)_1080p_5.1_BrRip_x264_-_Judas

Awesome... Thanks.
Why would anyone use vlc?
kenno ... you're going to have to explain a little more than that, cause really.....
kmplayer/potplayer/MPC-HC being alternatives, a lot of it is personal preference. Why wouldn't anyone use vlc?
Now if someone were to suggest using a xbox360.... i'd argue that... or windows media player should play it very well.. but you aren't going to get subtitles if you want/need them.

Long time listener, first time caller. Love your downloads bud.
This is one of the largest rips I have seen you do. Any chance you will redo this one at your normal size? Something in the 2.xx GiB range? You are my absolute go to for size vs quality.

can you please do the movie djano with jaime foxx? and P.S. I Love you and Hope Floats
really love the audio! stellar! and the video size will surely look good on big led-tv (47" and up), well.. maybe almost as good as the bluray disc itself. Well because the usual 2gb-3gb/1080p encode only looks good on 32" or smaller monitor. (personally tested on 19-60" monitor with various dhjudas rips). thanks! cant wait to test this one.. :)
tdogg..... did you read the description... I've already done this movie quite a long time ago... this is a "HQ" encode specifically for those that demand the high quality style of encoding and don't want a 2gb version.
You can find my original encode here ~> https://piratebayproxy.live/torrent/7772954/Star_Trek_XI_(2009)_1080p_5.1_BrRip_x264_-_Judas

Hi Judas,
Other than maybe streaming this size file how are we going to play this back on a PS3 as I thought the biggest file size for Fat32 was 4gb?
Thanks for all the quality rips to Judas mate it is much appreciated.
To jwinston78 if Judas's 2gb picture quality is not excellent on a 60in screen that is your playing device letting it down...
Via my PS3 (or my Arcam BDP300) with JVC HD550 projector and anamorphic lens at 120inch scope (92inch 16x9) the picture quality is just brilliant as Skyfall's quality shows with the dark scenes. To be honest it dunbfounds me how good it is and if the audio could be Dolby or DTS in there HD formats then I would not watch another BR disc again!
If your ever in Australia for a holiday Judas the beer at my place is ready to go champ ;)

The only way to stream a file such as this one as large as it is on a ps3... is via a media server streaming to ps3/through ps3.
Sorry, The sub 4gb version is available in the discription

BTW... mp4 doesn't work with DTS... and will only work with AC3 as a bitstreamable format. However limited to 640kbps ultra lossy format.
640kbps AAC 5.1 easily surpassed it.
I'd upload a movie using HD-AAC which is a semilossly/lossless which would be equivalent to better than DTS-HD 1536kbps. But almost nothing supports it :(

Cheers for the reply. I was just making sure I hadn't missed something and I do grab all of your sub 4gb files anyway.
